Supreme Court @150 Planning Committee Meets Management of Media General

The Planning Committee for the Supreme Court of Ghana’s 150th Anniversary celebrations, has met with the Management of Media General Group, operators of TV3 Network. The strategic meeting which took place on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at the TV3 premises in Accra, aimed to strengthen media partnerships ahead of the peak phase of the historic sesquicentennial anniversary celebrations, scheduled throughout July.

Briefing Management of Media General Group, His Lordship Justice Richard Adjei-Frimpong highlighted the critical importance of the media in bridging the gap between the apex court and the Ghanaian public. He noted that the 150th-anniversary milestone is not merely an institutional event but a national celebration of constitutional democracy, human rights, and the rule of law.

Justice Adjei-Frimpong detailed the extensive lineup of public-centred events slated for July, which include public lectures in Cape Coast, Kumasi and Accra, legal outreach programmes, and educational competitions. He stressed that the media’s role in communicating the court’s work to ordinary citizens is central to the anniversary’s theme; The Supreme Court of Ghana at 150, Honouring the past, celebrating the present, and defining the future.

For his part, the Chief Operating Officer of Media General Group Mr. Nuamah Eshun Famiyeh, commended the Supreme Court @ 150 Planning Committee and the Judicial Service’ communications team for their proactive approach to civic engagement. He reiterated the network’s unwavering commitment to developmental journalism, affirming that TV3 and the larger Media General group are fully prepared to partner with the Judiciary.
